You can add a logo via the Customizer. Appearance > Customize > General > Site Identity. While there it's also good to add a favicon - this appears as a little icon in your browser tab.
You can also adjust the size of the logo. Appearance > Customize > Header and Navigation > Site Logo. Tweak the pixel size until it looks right.
