Newspread supports Jetpack integration for a number of features.
This is an official WordPress plugin you can install via the Plugins section. You need to register with wordpress.com (free) and connect your site to the account. Basic Jetpack usage is also free.

You can choose to show related content as well as header text and a visually striking layout which includes a thumbnail.
It also adds an extra pane to the Customizer where you can change the heading text and decide to hide the category and date if you prefer.
